TECH CORPS Illinois is fully chartered and operational!

TECH CORPS Illinois is recruiting volunteers to lead or help with the following programs:

  • Chicago Public Schools (CPS) IMPACT Program: A program to link volunteers to be technology advisors for principals
  • Neighborhood Technology Partnerships: A university – neighborhood partnership to help surrounding K-12 schools with technology programs
  • Dr. Scholl Foundation Internet Safety Program: A program to guide teachers through safe use of the Internet in the classroom
  • Tech 37: A program in CPS to teach kids about technology careers
  • Lego Mindstorms: A program utilizing this exciting new educational toy to teach kids about applications of technology to real-world situations
  • Family Computing: A program that involves children and parents working through problem-solving exercises using the computer (modeled after the Family Math programs)
  • AmeriCorps*VISTA: A program to focus technology initiatives in underserved areas

TECH CORPS Illinois volunteers are willing to help your school with any information technology initiative you can conceive.
