SWAINSBORO, GA (2026) This summer marks five years of partnership between TECH CORPS, Emanuel County Schools, and The Nordson Corporation Foundation to bring hands-on, career-connected technology camps to local students in grades 3–8.
Designed to help students build confidence while having fun, Techie Camp gives students the chance to code, problem-solve, collaborate, and create real solutions using technology, not just sit behind a screen.
“Opportunities like Techie Camp are critical for Emanuel County students because they provide early exposure to high-demand skills in technology,” said Emanuel County Schools CTAE Administrator Chip Fleming. “Experiences like this spark interest in future careers, strengthen problem-solving abilities, and help students begin to see themselves in high-demand fields at an early age.”
This year, students can choose from two exciting camp experiences built around exploration, creativity, and real-world challenges:
Tech Explorer (Grades 3–5)
Young explorers will dive into coding adventures using a handheld micro:bit computer, completing fun, interactive missions that build creativity, confidence, and foundational tech skills.
Students will:
- Code Ocean missions
- Build confidence as a tech explorer
- Use the micro:bit and take it home at the end of camp!
Tech Quest (Grades 6–8)
Middle school students will tackle global-inspired technology challenges as they code, test, and improve solutions while unlocking virtual vaults around the world.
Students will:
- Decipher, debug, design
- Earn mission stamps and solve real challenges
- Code a micro:bit and take it home at the end of camp!
More Than a Summer Camp
Techie Camp is designed to help students see themselves as creators of technology, not just consumers.
“Techie Camps give students the opportunity to see themselves as creators of technology, not just consumers,” said Lisa M. Chambers, CEO of TECH CORPS. “When students work on real challenges, they build confidence, strengthen problem-solving skills, and begin to see what’s possible for their future.”

Each summer, we see students grow their technical skills, gain confidence in creating with technology, and discover that they belong in these spaces. Many leave camp excited to keep learning, explore new tech opportunities, and even imagine themselves in future technology careers.”
