Dear TECH CORPS Community,

This summer, our students and the educators who inspire them didn’t just keep up with technology; they learned to create with it.

Across our programs, students explored artificial intelligence, programming, and data science, while building the confidence, curiosity, and professional skills that will serve them for years to come. Educators strengthened their own skills and gained new strategies to bring hands-on, student-centered technology learning to more young people.

None of this would be possible without our summer staff, volunteers, partners, donors, and families. Thank you for helping make Summer 2026 a season of learning, discovery, and opportunity.

High School Students Put AI Into Practice

Artificial intelligence is transforming how we learn and work. In Student TECH CORPS, students learn to use it thoughtfully.

Students used AI to tackle challenges while building the technical and professional skills that will serve them for what’s next. Along the way, they earned work-based learning hours, industry-recognized credentials, and a pre-apprenticeship certificate. Their ideas and confidence were on full display during our first AI Project Showcase, where local community leaders and partners gathered to hear the student pitches and ask questions.

Beyond the Screen:

Teaching Kids to Think Critically

Preparing students for the future means more than introducing new technologies. It means helping them ask good questions, recognize bias, think ethically, and use technology responsibly.

Opportunity Is Growing

This summer, TECH CORPS expanded access to technology learning by investing in students and educators.

Across Ohio and Georgia, students explored technology through hands-on challenges, building skills, confidence, and creativity. In Ohio and Florida, educators participated in CTRL Lead: Techie Camp, gaining the tools and confidence to bring engaging, student-centered technology experiences into their own learning environments.

Together, these programs empower educators to create opportunities for young people and help students build their own path to a successful future.
