[Atlanta, GA] – [May 19, 2025] –TECH CORPS, a national nonprofit that ensures K–12 students have access to high-quality technology programs, will launch its 2025 summer camps across Georgia the week of June 2, 2025. More than 300 elementary and middle school students in Metro Atlanta and Bulloch County will participate in hands-on, career-connected tech experiences.
Twelve summer staff members—including ten college students majoring in technology-related fields and two Georgia educators—completed TECH CORPS’ intensive training and are ready to deliver its nationally recognized computer science and IT programs. These instructors will actively teach engaging curricula in coding, networking, cybersecurity, and app development in a safe and supportive environment.
“This group of summer staff is deeply engaged and committed to delivering high-quality experiences to Georgia youth,” said Marcala Moore, Program Manager at TECH CORPS. “We’ve recruited passionate individuals who reflect the communities they serve and act as authentic role models for our students.”
By hiring local summer staff, TECH CORPS ensures students connect with real-life role models with similar life experiences. These instructors represent institutions including Spelman College, Georgia Southern University, Clark Atlanta University, Georgia State University, the University of Georgia, and others.
The generous support from the Nordson Corporation Foundation and Hyland makes TECH CORPS’ 2025 Georgia summer programs possible. Both organizations dedicate their resources to closing opportunity gaps and expanding access to STEM education for all students. “We have witnessed TECH CORPS’ incredible impact on students and communities,” said Maria Spangler, Director of the Nordson Corporation Foundation. “One of Nordson’s key principles is investing in the communities where our employees live and work. We believe programs like these will drive lasting change and a brighter future for all.”
