Students Gain Math and Tech Skills

This summer, nearly 80 Franklin County high school students engaged in TECH CORPS’ new math and computer science learning experience, IT On Ramp+. Co-developed in partnership with the Teaching & Learning Collaborative, IT On Ramp+ is an innovative, four-week program. It’s designed to elevate students’ mathematical understanding and confidence in algebra and geometry through hands-on lessons. The lessons are focused on a variety of computing topics including app development, game design, software development and web development.

It’s funded by the Franklin County Board of Commissioners and administered by Franklin County Department of Job and Family Services. Watch the video to hear directly from students about the program’s impact!

The Morning Journal Features TECH CORPS Students

High school students from Lorain County were recognized in The Morning Journal newspaper for their work in Student WEB CORPS. Industry-Recognized Certifications

Thanks to JPMorgan Chase Foundation and The Columbus Foundation, Franklin County high school seniors were able to participate in TECH CORPS’ Computing to Career program. Through hard work and dedication, 80% of the students earned their first industry-recognized certification this summer. Watch the video to hear from our students and learn more about the program!

New Community Partner

TECH CORPS is always on the lookout for new partners and sponsors to share our vision. This summer, we had the pleasure of working with the Back to Basics Youth Education Center to offer Techie Camp to students in Dayton. Executive Director Lawrence Lindsay explains how the partnership benefits his Dayton community.
