Jezus has been curious about computers for as long as he can remember. This summer, thanks to Student TECH CORPS, he got hands-on experience in hardware, operating systems, software applications, networking, computer peripherals, and troubleshooting.
Student TECH CORPS was made possible with support from the Tech Talent Pipeline and hosted at MCPc STAD in Cleveland, Ohio.
Student WEB CORPS
Our Student WEB CORPS programs wrapped up in Lorain, Cleveland, Columbus and Chicago. Thanks to more than 60 volunteers, our students gained project management, communications and professionalism skills. One volunteer shared, “These students have demonstrated exceptional adaptability, creativity, and resilience, showing they are well-equipped to handle the rapidly evolving tech landscape.”
Our Teachers are CutOut4CS
This summer, with support from Google, TECH CORPS and the Teaching & Learning Collaborative implemented CUTOUT4CS. As an innovative professional development program, its curriculum is focused on the integration of computer science and mathematics in the elementary grades.
Third and Fourth grade teachers from across Atlanta and Los Angeles attended two days of professional development. They explored a series of lessons that showcase effective ways to embed computer science into the classroom while developing student understanding in mathematics.
