Ohio Students Build Skills and Confidence TECHCORPShack 2025

Across Ohio, the energy, creativity, and collaboration of the next generation of innovators are showcased in the video above. That momentum carried through the 2025 TECHCORPShack, where TECH CORPS announced the statewide winners of its mobile app development challenge, engaging nearly 300 high school students from across Ohio.

Students designed innovative apps aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals that addressed real community challenges, including mental health, food access, housing support, and college readiness. With support from more than 90 community volunteers, student teams demonstrated creativity, teamwork, and career-connected technical skills. The winning students were recently celebrated at the 2025 TECHCORPShack Recognition Event in Columbus.

Computing Career Corps

Is Where Exploration Begins

Computing Career Corps introduces high school students to programming, web development, and problem-solving through interactive, project-based learning. Students build confidence by applying their skills to real-world challenges and gain insight from technology professionals in their own communities.

Computing Career Corps empowers curious and creative students to explore possibilities beyond traditional paths while developing in-demand technical and durable skills that support success in any future they choose.

Turning Classrooms into Data Labs

Computer Science Education Week 2025

CSEdWeek 2025 showed what is possible when educators, partners, and students come together around computer science. With the support of Hyland, TECH CORPS reached more than 11,000 students nationwide, helping grades 3–8 classrooms transform into mini data labs through our “D is for Data Professionals” lessons.

Students stepped into the roles of Data Engineers and Data Analysts, collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to answer real questions about their world. Curiosity and engagement were strong as students gained early exposure to how data and computer science support real-world problem-solving and decision-making.

We are proud to partner with Hyland, a company deeply committed to expanding access to computer science education. Through free coding clubs, tech outreach opportunities, and long-term investment in CS learning across Ohio and beyond, Hyland helps students explore technology careers firsthand.
