Spectrum News Covers Techie Camp

Spectrum News visited our Northeast Ohio Techie Camp: Digital Animation sponsored by the Nordson Corporation Foundation and hosted at Lorain County Community College. This program fosters the creativity of our youth through art and technology. Students create stop-motion movies using 3D printing, vinyl cutting and more. From elementary school through high school, TECH CORPS programs provide early access to technology education experiences that will impact students’ education and career pathways.

WillowTree will host its inaugural Drive Fore STEM Golf Tournament at Top Golf (2000 Ikea Wy, Columbus, OH 43240) on Thursday, September 22, 2022. The event hopes to bring the community together to foster communication, diversity and unity while funding technology education experiences for K-12 students. Tech Professionals Conduct Mock Interviews

The Computing to Career program sponsored by JPMorgan Chase and The Columbus Foundation launched in January with 45 hours of basic tech skill development. This summer, students completed 200 hours of training in hardware, networking, troubleshooting, customer relations and more. Thanks to volunteers from WillowTree, students experienced mock job interviews with tech professionals. WillowTree Software Engineer Zach Tumbleson exclaimed, “Many students had more certifications than I had when I first started in the industry. I was very impressed.”
