TECHCORPShack

The #TECHCORPShack is not a typical hackathon! No previous experience is required, collaboration is encouraged, support is provided and we focus on students traditionally underrepresented in tech. Each winning team member will walk away with $200 in their pocket! High school students in #Cbus and #CLE should register NOW because space is limited.

Are you looking for an excellent #volunteer opportunity?

Volunteer at the #TECHCORPS #mobileapp #hackathon in #Columbus or #Cleveland on Saturday, November 12th.

• Are you energetic, supportive and like working with teenagers? Be a Tech Mentor Saturday from 12:00pm – 9:00pm.

• As a logistics volunteer, you will assist with event logistics such as table set-up/break-down, registration and other event support. Five different shift times are available.

TECH CORPS Unplugged Kits

Thanks to theFirstEnergy Foundation, TECH CORPS supported #OhioTechDay in a techie way. With our TECH CORPS Unplugged Kits, students learned computer science topics without computers or the internet! About 100 middle school students in Elyria learned about Agile and Waterfall development strategies by playing Techie Battleship.

Something exciting is going on in Chicago. TECH CORPS has partnered with Google to launch its CODE NEXT program. CODE NEXT expands social capital in Black, Hispanic and Native neighborhoods by developing culturally engaging and community-centric tech innovation experiences. We will soon launch our signature programs, Techie Club, Techie Workshops and Family Tech Day. Click on the blue box to learn more and sign-up.
