[Cleveland and Elyria, Ohio – November 7, 2025] High school students from across Northeast Ohio will come together on Saturday, November 8, 2025, to participate in the Seventh Annual TECH CORPS Hackathon, a statewide, high-energy event where students collaborate, innovate, and build technology-based solutions to address community challenges. Participants will gain hands-on experience, strengthen workforce skills, and explore future career pathways in technology.

The day-long event, running from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., will take place simultaneously at two locations:
  • Lorain County Community College, 1005 North Abbe Rd, Elyria, OH 44035
  • Progressive, 300 North Commons Blvd, Mayfield Village, OH 44143

Sponsored by the Nordson Corporation Foundation and Progressive, the TECH CORPS Hackathon offers a unique platform for students to learn and apply mobile app development skills under the guidance of experienced technology professionals.

“We want every high school student in Ohio to know this event is for them,” said Lisa M. Chambers, TECH CORPS Chief Executive Officer. “The TECH CORPS Hackathon is free, requires no prior experience, and provides a welcoming, supportive environment. Students are often amazed by what they can accomplish in just one day.”

For many participants, this event marks their first exposure to coding. Students will work in teams to brainstorm, design, and build mobile apps that address real-world community needs. The day will conclude with team presentations, judging, and gift card prizes for winning projects.
More than a competition, the TECH CORPS Hackathon is an investment in the future tech workforce, empowering young people to become creators and innovators who can positively impact their communities.
