Building Pathways to the Future

We celebrated Ohio Tech Day in a big way! TECH CORPS alumni joined community partners, education leaders, and government representatives to shine a spotlight the power of high school Pre-Apprenticeship programs. The event featured a panel of workforce leaders, including Anthony Murphy, Jama Cobb, and Carmen Barnes. Their insights underscored the importance of building clear pathways from high school learning to high-demand careers.

Jonah Medina: TECH CORPS Alum

From Student TECH CORPS to Computer Science Graduate

As a sophomore, Jonah Medina joined Student TECH CORPS: Web Dev and helped design a website for the Federal Bar Association of the Northern District of Ohio, which is still in use today. That experience sparked his passion for coding and taught him the values of teamwork, perseverance, and professionalism. Jonah recently graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a degree in computer science and credits TECH CORPS with preparing him for both college and a career.

This year, 400 high school students in Cleveland, Columbus, and Elyria will have the opportunity to compete in our seventh TECHCORPShack. The TECH CORPS Hackathon is a high-energy, full-day event where high school students team up to tackle real-world challenges using the latest technology. Students unleash their creativity, learn new skills, compete for cash prizes, and build lasting connections with peers and mentors. Students can register now to join the competition.
